Start after breakfast or for sunrise over Angkor Wat
Pick-up at your hotel: Choose your pick-up time after breakfast or an early departure at 4:30 AM to experience the unforgettable sunrise in front of Angkor Wat, the world-famous temple complex. The entire archaeological site covers over 400 km² / 154 sq miles and was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1992.
Return to hotel for breakfast (optional for the sunrise option): After witnessing the stunning colors of the sunrise reflecting in the lakes in front of the unique architectural structures of Angkor Wat, you can decide whether to return to your hotel for breakfast or have our guide recommend a restaurant or local food stall within Angkor Park.
Explore Angkor Thom - former capital of the Khmer Empire
Angkor Thom – South Entrance
After breakfast, our driver will take the group to the South Gate of Angkor Thom. It is the most beautiful and best-preserved of the five entrances to Angkor Thom, the largest complex in the Angkor Park. The royal city of Angkor Thom was built from the late 12th to the early 13th century and includes several famous and unique landmarks.
Bayon Temple: This is the main temple of King Jayavarman VII. It is famous for its 37 towers adorned with sculptural decorations and the impressive stone faces, which is why it is also called the “Temple of the Smiling Faces.”
Elephant Terrace: As the name suggests, this site consists of three platforms surrounded by elephants carved in stone, depicting an elephant hunt. The intricate details are simply captivating.
Angkor Thom in Angkor Park
Terrace of the Leprosy King: It is considered one of the most beautiful Khmer artworks. The name comes from King Yasovarman I, who built the first city of Angkor and died of leprosy. The relief is very detailed and extremely well preserved.
Pyramind Temple of Phimeanakas: The royal temple is one of the smallest temples of Angkor. At the top of the 12-meter-high pyramid you have a great view of the entire archaeological site of Angkor Thom.
Lunch break in Angkor Park
You can decide where you want lunch and whether you prefer local food or international cuisine. Grilled seafood, a Khmer curry or a steak with chips, it’s your choice. We also offer prearranged lunch options, a luxury lunch experience or a local menu. You can book the lunch option during the checkout process.
Ta Nei Temple - off the beaten track
This small temple is located about 4.5 km/ 2.7 mi from Angkor Wat and is not one of the main tourist areas of Angkor, because bigger tour buses do not reach the place. Therefore it is not so crowded and there is enough room to explore the temple of King Jayavarman VII with our guide.

Ta Prohm: The Jungle Temple of Angkor
Before you visit the most famous temple complex called Angkor Wat, our driver will take you to Ta Prohm. The “Jungle Temple”, which was built by Jayavarman VII in honor of his mother. The temple was almost swallowed by the jungle. The impressive Bayon architecture merges with the tropical forest. The unforgettable scenery was made famous by the movie “Lara Croft: Tomb Raider” starring Angelina Jolie as well as the Indiana Jones movies. It is an unforgettable sight as nature incorporates a former civilization. Definitively a highlight of the first day of your trip in Angkor.
Angkor Wat
The Pagodas of Angkor Wat
A short drive will take you to Angkor Wat, the most famous temple in historic Angkor Park. Angkor Wat with its pagoda was once the center of the mighty Khmer kingdom. You can climb the steep steps up to the tower and have a magnificent view over the World Heritage Site of Angkor. Your guide will tell you exciting stories of the Khmer Empire and its kings of long ago. One thing is certain, you will not get bored. Maybe your feet will get a bit tired, but the UNESCO World Heritage Site is worth the effort.

How long does the Angkor One-Day Tour take?
The duration is flexible between 6 and 9 hours depending on your preferences.
Groups starting for sunrise usually return between 12:00 and 2:30pm.
After-breakfast tours finish between 3:30–5:00pm without sunset, and sunset tours end around 6:00–7:00pm.
You can always tell your guide your preferred pace, and he will adjust the tour accordingly.
Where can I be picked up?
Pickup is possible from any location in Siem Reap except the airport and remote areas far from the city center. Most groups choose their hotel as pick-up location. The guide will wait for you in the lobby.
What is included and not included?
Included: Private tour, certified guide with great language skills in your chosen language, professional driver (not the guide),
transportation by tuktuk or high quality air-conditioned car/minivan, bottled water in the vehicle, and hotel pickup/dropoff.

When does the sunrise tour start?
Sunrise tours start between 4:30 and 5:15am. Our guide will assist in choosing the perfect sunrise spot for an amazing experience.
Is lunch included?
Lunch is not included but can be added during checkout. Bottled drinking water is provided in the vehicle. We gladly return to your hotel for breakfast after sunrise if desired.
Is the tour suitable for children, seniors, or wheelchair users?
Yes. Families enjoy the flexibility of our private tours and seniors can go at their own pace. For wheelchair users we offer additional porters to assist where terrain is uneven, please contact us for further details and exact pricing.
What is the dress code for Angkor temples?
Knees and shoulders must be covered. Wear closed shoes, bring a hat/cap, and use sunscreen. A scarf can be used to cover shoulders if needed.
